Hudson named February Employee of the Month Larry Hudson, of The University of South Dakota registrar's office, is the Career Service Employee of the month for February.
Hudson was presented with the award Jan. 26 at a ceremony in the conference room of the Belbas Center.
Hudson was nominated by several people on campus.
"We have really enjoyed his sense of humor in helping to see that things get done regarding audits and that students stay happy in the process," said Linda Reetz, associate dean for student services in the School of Education.
"Larry is a real gentleman and he has always thought of the student's needs first. He's a great team player doesn't care who gets the credit, just wants the job done well and the student helped," said Dave Lorenz, dean of student life.
Students at USD frequently e-mail the registrar's office with words of praise and appreciation for Hudson's help. One student said "I am still amazed that all this took was one phone call to you. Larry, you did a great job and thanks again for that."
Assistant registrar Jenifer Jost is impressed daily with Hudson's dedication.
"Larry went above and beyond what any of us hoped. He has raised the standard in the office by proving himself a model of ethics and customer service," said Jost.
Hudson lives in Vermillion with his four-year-old daughter Luci.
