USD has solid performance at Tyson Invitational Marci Miller, Tony Turgeon and the women's distance medley relay had solid performances at the Tyson Invitational held on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville on Saturday.
Turgeon, a junior, continued his fine performance indoors with a clocking of 14:30.56 in the 5,000 meters, which is the second fastest in school history. Turgeon, who finished seventh in the race, recorded a personal-best and the NCC's best time while also provisionally qualifying for nationals. He was third behind a pair of Western State runners and Division I competitors.
Marci Miller, a senior, had her best performance of the season with a vault of 12'03 in finishing fifth in the pole vault competition.
The Coyotes' distance medley relay squad finished third and recorded a clocking of 12:03.77, which is an NCAA Division II provisional mark.
The team of Amber Stoltenburg, Mary Bennett, Aimee Nielsen and Stephanie Gebhart recorded its best clocking this indoor season.
