City council meets March 7 The Vermillion City Council will hold its regular meeting 7 p.m. Monday, March 7, at the Al Neuharth Media Center on the USD campus.

Mayor Dan Christopherson will read a proclamation honoring Vermillion High School student Michelle Rydell.

The council will also hold a public hearing on the construction of grading and gravel, curb and gutter, sanitary sewer laterals, water main, street lights, concrete surfacing and driveway approaches on Cornell Street from Stanford Street to 700 feet east in the city.

Other business includes approval of an airport consultant contract, resolution for the sale of lots 20 and 21 of block 6 in the Smith-Quam Addition, an Industrial Park Grant agreement between the South Dakota Department of Transportation and the city and designation of authorized representation for Missouri River EnergyServices.
