Clay Rural Water System schedules annual meeting The Clay Rural Water System will hold its 26th annual meeting on Saturday, March 12 in Vermillion.

The meeting will be held in the St. Agnes School auditorium, located at 416 Walker Street, two blocks south of Sioux Valley Vermillion Hospital. Registra-

tion will begin at 10 a.m. with the business meeting scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.

Members will hear reports from the board of directors and staff on 2004 operating activities. Results of the board of directors district elections will be announced.

A representative from the South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems will also speak on rural water activities in the state. A special presentation will be given on the Vermillion River Watershed and a two-year monitoring project in the watershed.

All members attending will receive a certificate for a $10 credit on their water bill.

A pork loin lunch will be served following the meeting at 12 p.m.

The Clay Rural Water System is a non-profit, member-owned corporation that supplies water service to 1,600 farms, residents, and businesses in parts of five counties in southeast South Dakota. Organized in 1975, the water system has been operational since 1979. Water service is also provided to the towns of Wakonda and Gayville.
