It's Girl Scout Cookie time once again It's cookie time!
Girl Scouts of the Sioux Trails Council will be taking orders March 12-27. Cookies deliveries will begin on April 16.
By purchasing Girl Scout Cookies, you can help girls grow strong in a program that is designed for "Every Girl Everywhere." Through this annual activity, girls ages 5 to 17 learn how to work together as a team, set goals, and develop plans for reaching them. Additionally, they cultivate a sense of business ethics, public speaking, and interpersonal communication skills and acquire knowledge in marketing, money management, and customer service. What a delicious way to learn life skills!
"Each and every year I know we are training girls to fill all sorts of roles in the future. They may become the manager of a local bank branch, owner of local business, or the CEO of a major corporation," said Kim McCormick, executive director of the Sioux Trails Girl Scout Council. "How many tasty products can you buy that have character building, teamwork and leadership baked right inside?"
Expect a Girl Scout to appear on your doorstep or to ask for your order at a booth sale in your community. For just $3 per box, you can enjoy your fill of Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, Animal Treasures, Reduced Fat Lemon Pastry Crmes and our newest Girl Scout Cookie, Piatas!
