Medical center holds Food Pantry food drive Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center employees held a Vermillion Food Pantry food drive in the last two weeks of February.
In order to encourage participation, a friendly competition was held. The facility was split up into six groups for the purpose of the competition. At the end of the drive, all items were collected and grouped to compare quantities donated.
Group 1 won the competition with the greatest amount of food pantry donations. Group 1 included the Environmental Services, Nutrition Services, Materials Management and Plant Operations Departments. Items collected from the entire facility filled a half pick up bed when delivered to the Food Pantry.
Employees from Group 1 will celebrate with an ice cream sundae party to be held later this month. Thank you to all SVVMC employees for your participation and generosity.
