South Dakota tennis team drops duals The South Dakota tennis squad (1-8) lost duals to regionally ranked Fort Hays State, 8-1, and Missouri Southern, 8-1, on the road at St. Joseph's, MO, on Sunday.
The losses by USD were to the 10th-ranked team (Fort Hays State) and the sixth-ranked team in the region (Missouri Southern).
USD highlights included a win at the number one doubles against Fort Hays State as Maya Ristic of Vermillion, and Michelle Hogan of Rapid City, defeated Helen Brooks and Mallory Schwann of Fort Hays State, 8-4. The other Coyote highlight was Brittany Johnson's (Rapid City) 7-5, 6-1 win at number five singles against Missouri Southern.
South Dakota will host its first home match of the season at 1 p.m. on April 2.
