Supreme Court won't visit USD The South Dakota Supreme Court has decided to hold its March term this year in Pierre rather than at The University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
The court's primary purpose in holding the March term at USD each year is to allow the justices to interact with law students.
Despite the best efforts of the law school andfacilities management staff at USD, various logistical difficulties proved impossible to overcome.
Chief Justice Gilbertson has assured the university that the court looks forward to returning to Vermillion next year and in subsequent years.
The court values highly the unique relationship with the law school.
Audio of the court sessions will be played in the USD courtroom and it is also available at www.sdjudicial.com.
