Anderson will lead state's NCA board Pat Anderson, principal of Vermillion Middle School, has been elected president of the State North Central Association Board of Directors.
Anderson has served the Vermillion School District as a teacher, high school assistant principal and middle school principal for many years.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in education in 1981, a master's degree in school administration in 1989, and a specialist in education degree in 2004 from The University of South Dakota.
The North Central Association is a regional accrediting organization that is recognized for promoting school improvement and quality educational standards.
The State NCA Board is comprised of educational leaders throughout South Dakota. All public K-12 schools in Vermillion are members of the North Central Association.
The state office is located at the School of Education on the campus of USD.
