Becky Flynn Jensen honored by Creighton By Bethany Parvin Becky Flynn Jensen was inducted in the 2005 Athletic Hall of Fame at Creighton University along with two other athletes. This ceremony took place April 12 at the Double Tree Motel in downtown Omaha, NE.

Flynn helped Wakonda set a state-record 101-game winning streak, which included three straight state basketball championships. She was a first team All-State player from 1988-91. She is South Dakota�s career scoring leader with an amazing 3,268 points.

She averaged 21.6 points per game. Flynn holds the Wakonda rebounding record with 1,125. She also had an impressive 57 shooting percentage during her career.

Flynn was named Miss Basketball in 1991, and was also the South Dakota Female Athlete of the Year in 1992. In her collegiate career at the University of Creighton, she earned first-team-all-Missouri Valley Conference honors. She was also the conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1993. Flynn was Creighton�s most valuable player from 1992-1996.

She also earned NCAA second-team academic all-America honors in 1993-94, and was a NCAA post graduate scholar in 1996. She received the Carl Reinert Scholar Athlete Award and the Creighton Senior Award for integrity, community service, loyalty and scholarship.

Flynn completed her master of arts degree in clinical psychology from the University of Dayton, OH. She now resides with her husband, Kyle Jensen and their son, Jacob in rural Meckling.

She is the assistant women�s basketball coach at The University of South Dakota.
