Coyote football squad announces 2005 games The South Dakota football team, which had the most wins in a season since 1986 with its 9-2 record last fall, has announced its football schedule for the 2005 season. The schedule includes three teams that qualified for the Division II playoffs and two other opponents who won league titles.
South Dakota will open the season with a nonconference road game at Minnesota-Crookston at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 25. USD's home season opener will be a nonconference match-up against Truman State on Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. in the DakotaDome. The Coyotes will open the NCC season with its conference home opener against league champion Nebraska-Omaha on Sept. 24 at 2 p.m. in the DakotaDome. The Coyotes' schedule includes 11 Division II opponents. A complete schedule is listed below.
