Girls' golf team defeats Trojans in dual match By Jim Prosser The Tanager girls� golf team won their dual match last Monday, April 18 against West Central at The Bluffs golf course in Vermillion.

The temperature had cooled down to the 60s. A slight northerly wind aided the play on holes 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12, but raised havoc on the other 11 holes, and all the girls persevered as well as could be expected.

The varsity girls placed first with a 356, while the Lady Trojans finished with 376.

Capturing medalist honors was the Tanagers� Jackie Thomas with an 85 for the 18-hole match. Other Tanager scoring results were: Anna Isaacson � 87; Chelsea Gauer � 90; Sarah Christopherson � 94; and Paige Prosser � 111.

The JV matches were nine-hole competitions. West Central scored 175 to beat Vermillion�s 190.

VHS JV scoring was: Ariel Hofman and Laura Hansen � 63; Kelsey Osborne ��64; Kristen Schwasinger � 67 and Liz Day � 75.
