Highway Patrol plans sobriety checkpoints The South Dakota Highway Patrol will be holding sobriety checkpoints during the week of May 1-7, in Clay County.

In addition to detecting alcohol or drug-impaired drivers, troopers make use of the sobriety checkpoints to remind the motoring public of the dangers of drinking and driving.
