Mark Iverson receives state education honor

Mark Iverson receives state education honor The South Dakota Council for Exceptional Children has recently named Mark Iverson as General Education Teacher of the Year for South Dakota.

Iverson teaches government, U.S. history and computer science at Vermillion High School. He is a Vermillion High School graduate.

He also graduated from The University of South Dakota with a social science degree. Later, he earned a master of science degree in school administration from The University of South Dakota.

Iverson taught at Remsen, IA for one year and the past four years he has been a teacher for the Vermillion School District. He is also assistant football coach.
