Southeast Job Link alters schedule to meet needs All of Southeast Job Link's April computer courses will be conducted in the afternoon.
"The change is being made to accommodate requests from Vermillion area residents," said Sandy Engelhaupt, Southeast Job Link's technology coordinator.
April classes include:
Free Friday � A beginning class for those who are new to the computer world and want to learn the basics. Class will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 8.
Windows 2000 � An 8-hour workshop split into two classes that is designed to teach students how to operate a computer, where to find programs and applications and how to manage files. Class will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 11, and Wednesday, April 13.
Word 2000 � An 8-hour workshop conducted in two parts that will show you how to perform basic word processing tasks such as copying, pasting and saving. Class will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18, and Wednesday, April 20.
Excel 2000 � An 8-hour workshop divided into two classes that will introduce you to worksheets, charts and basic spreadsheet functions. Class will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 27.
There is no charge for the Free Friday workshop. Cost of each 8-hour workshop is based upon gross family income and can range from $0 to $49. Senior discounts are available for those ages 55 and older who are not actively employed.
