The Tanager offense built the early lead by getting some consecutive hits and a couple sac flies. They scored three runs in the first and two more in the second for a 5-0 lead. Then, in the third, three straight hits, a hit batter, a single, a base on balls, and another hit increased the lead to eight before the Cubs scored.
