Tanagers win with 10-run rule April 6 By Jim Prosser Vermillion High School faced Alcester April 6 in baseball action April 6 at Prentis Park in Vermillion.

Brad Schaack pitched a real gem as he gave up two hits and shut out the Cubs in the six inning, shortened 10 run rule victory.

The Tanager offense was aided by 10 Alcester miscues as they built a five run advantage after five innings, then ran away with a five run outburst in the sixth to end the festivities.

Line score: Vermillion � 10 runs, 5 hits, 0 err, 4 lob; Alcester � 0 runs, 2 hits, 10 err, 1 lob

Contributing to the offensive show were: Ben Oberle � 1 for 3, one run, two RBIs; Kyle Mollet � 1 for 3, two runs; Brad Schaack � 1 for 3, one run; Ryan Mockler � 1 for 3, one run, two RBIs; Jordan Anderson � 1 for 1, one run, one RBI; John Gregg drove in a run with a sac fly; Jason Donald, Sam Laprath, Zach Weiss, and Jeff Donnelly � each scored a run. The 2 hour contest evens the Tanager record at 2 � 2.
