Vermillion tennis netted by Luverne By Jim Prosser The Tanager boys� tennis team fell to the Luverne Cardinals in a varsity dual April 7, held at the Vermillion Middle School tennis courts.

Team Scores: Cardinals 9, Vermillion 0.

Singles: Dusty Antoine (L) def Steve Foltz 6-1, 6-1; Derek Boeve (L ) def Dan Day 6-4, 4-6, 6-2; David Nelson(L), def Keshav Arogyaswamy 6-4, 6-3; Brandon Deragisch (L) def Anthony Rath 6-2, 6-2; Nick Heronimus (L) def Harsh Patel 6-3, 6-3; and Zach Sanderson (L) def Chris Jensen 6-2, 6- 2.

Doubles: Antoine/Boeve (L) def Foltz/Day (V) 6-0, 6-1; Deragisch/Hernimus (L) def Arogyaswamy/Rath (V) 6-3, 6-4; Stegeman/Kruech (L) def Patel/Jensen (V) 6-3, 7-6.

�All the games were close, our kids played hard and are working to get better every match,� said coach Jon Ruevers.
