Women's tennis team drops matches The South Dakota tennis squad (3-14, 0-4 NCC) lost matches to North Dakota and South Dakota State in action on Sunday afternoon in Brookings.
North Dakota improved its record to 17-5 (5-1 NCC) by handing the Coyotes a 9-0 loss in North Central Conference action. Then, SDSU (6-8) won a 6-3 match in a nonconference play.
Against SDSU, USD won at number one doubles (Maya Ristic/Rachel Kludt), number one singles (Ristic) and number three singles (Kludt). With the straight set win (6-0, 6-0), Ristic of Vermillion, improved her season singles mark to 10-6. Kludt improved to 4-11 in singles on the season with a 4-6, 7-5, 10-4 win. Ristic and Kludt won an 8-5 decision at number one doubles to improve to 2-4 on the season.
