Baseball team vanquishes Tea Area By Jim Prosser The fourth home game in a row gave the Tanager baseball team another win as they defeated Tea Area School 8-2 in a �walk in the park� game on Monday, April 25, at Prentis Park in Vermillion.
In the varsity-only contest, Jason Donald pitched a comfortable seven innings as he gave up two runs on six hits and three walks, while registering five Ks for his third winning stint of the season. He was backed up by a nine-hit offense and a non-essential two errors by his team mates.
Line score: Vermillion � 8 runs, 9 hits, 2 errors, 5 lob; Tea � 2 runs, 6 hits, 2 errors, 6 lob.
Leaders on offense were: Ben Oberle scored 2 runs on 2 for 4 at bats; Brad Schaack � 2 for 2 batting and 1 run scored; Kyle Mollet scored 1 and drove in 1 with a sac fly; Sam Laprath also scored 1 run and 1 rbi; Ryan Mockler went 2 for 3, 1 run, 2 rbis; Jordan Anderson had 1 run and 1 rbi in 1 for 2 at bats; and Zach Weiss � 1 for 3, 1 run.
