Girl Scouts recycling batteries

Girl Scouts recycling batteries The Vermillion Neighborhood Girl Scouts are recycling single-use batteries, rechargeable batteries and used cell phones from now until May 18 as a project for National Youth Service Day.

The project helps communities by reducing potential environmental hazards or problems produced by batteries deposited in our area landfills.

The Girl Scouts are providing an easy and substantial way to decrease the amount of waste by recycling. Please drop off batteries and cell phones at Jones' Food Center, the Vermillion Public Library, Vermillion Public Schools and St. Agnes School.

Thank you for helping the Girl Scouts make a difference in Vermillion.
