Oberle marks personal bests at Howard Wood Relays By Jim Prosser Ben Oberle had a great 15 minutes at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.

He finished fourth in the Open 100 meters in 10.93 and 15 minutes later finished third in the Special 400 (49.93). Both are his personal best performances of the year and rank righ at the top of Class A.

The 81st running of the Howard Wood Dakota Relays was held May 6 and 7 in Sioux Falls.

Bobby Dykstra qualified for the state track meet in the high jump with a jump of 6'0.

Annie Carlson placed eight in the long jump. She pulled a hamstring again on the first jump of the finals. Therefore, she was not able to triple jump, the event in which she was leading the state.

The girls� medley relay team of Annie Roche, Brittney Babb, Alicia Brown and Emily Renner finished eighth with a state qualifying and school record time of 4:21.89, breaking the old school record by almost two seconds.

The girls� 4×400 relay finished fifth, lowering their state qualifying and state leading Class A time to 4:05.71. The runners were Nicole Orr, Babb, Roche and Brown.
