Students receive scholarships Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Center (SVVMC) and Dakota Hospital Association & Foundation recently awarded two $1,000 academic scholarships to area high school students.
Krystal Clark, a senior at Vermillion High School and Anne Rosenbaum, a graduate of Elk Point-Jefferson High School, were each awarded a 2005 SVVMC and Dakota Hospital Association & Foundation Healthcare Career Scholarship.
Clark will major in psychology in the fall of 2005 at The University of South Dakota. Her goal is to one day become a psychiatrist. Clark is the daughter of Timothy and Melanee Clark of Vermillion.
Rosenbaum plans to attend The University of South Dakota in the fall of 2005, with intentions to go to dental school after she receives her bachelor's degree in biology. She is the daughter of David and Beth Rosenbaum of Elk Point.
The purpose of the SVVMC and Dakota Hospital Association & Foundation Healthcare Career Scholarship is to identify and retain outstanding Vermillion area students dedicated to furthering their education in a health related occupation at USD.
