Tanager baseball team drops game at West Central By Jim Prosser The Tanager varsity, again plagued by errors, lost a contest to the Trojans in Hartford on Friday, April 29.
You can�t blame the weather conditions for a loss when your opponents have to contend with the same situation.
Kyle Mollet was the victim of four team errors as he gave up only three earned runs in his six-inning performance which included seven hits, three walks, and eight Ks. The winning pitcher was WC�s W. Wheeler, even though he gave up nine hits while registering nine Ks.
Line scores: Tanagers � 2 runs, 9 hits, 4 errors, 7 lob; Trojans � 7 runs, 4 hits, 0 errors, 3 lob.
Tanager scorers were: Reid Meierkort � 2 for 4, 1 run; John Gregg, � 1 for 1, 1 rbi; Brad Schaack � on base 3 times, 1 run; and Jeff Donnelly � 1 for 2, 1 rbi. The varsity record is now 8-5.
