USD to host Governor's Leadership Luncheon The University of South Dakota, the W.O. Farber Center for Civic Leadership and The University of South Dakota Foundation will sponsor the fifth annual Governor's Leadership Luncheon at noon on May 14 at the DakotaDome in Vermillion.
Two hundred seventy-eight high school sophomores from across South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska have been invited to this unique event which is designed to honor outstanding students from the region.
Nominated by officials at their respective schools, the students will be recognized for their contributions in and out of the classroom as well as for their potential to be future leaders of their schools, communities, states and nation. The event will include a lunch and feature a presentation by South Dakota Governor M. Michael Rounds.�Each student will also receive a certificate honoring his or her exceptional attributes and extraordinary service.
This event also receives support from the Office of the President, the Office of Student Life, and the Alumni Association at The University of South Dakota.
