Wakonda Jaycees host Pitch, Hit & Run May 7 As many as 20 participants competed in the Pepsi Pitch, Hit, & Run Competition hosted by the Wakonda Jaycees on May 7 at 10 a.m.
These participants won first place honors in their respective age groups. They are:
Age 7/8 � Overall Champion: Tyler Madsen.
Pitch Champion: Ethan Gullikson/ Alicia Guether.
Hit Champion: Tyler Madsen.
Run Champion: Tyler Madsen.
Age 9/10 � Overall Champion: Jordan Jorgensen.
Pitch Champion: MaKayla Mohr.
Hit Champion: Jake Vollmer.
Run Champion: Cody Geuther.
Age 11/12 � Overall Champion: Nick Taggart.
Pitch Champion: Roxanne Polley.
Hit Champion: Roxanne Polley.
Run Champion: Nick Taggart.
Age 13/14 � Overall Champion: Justin Polley.
Pitch Champion: Justin Polley.
Hit Champion: Jesse Gullikson.
Run Champion: Justin Polley.
The winners will now compete in the sectional competition, to be held May 22 in Lake Preston at the city park, baseball field. Registration begins at noon.
