4-H club has fun outing The Jolly Juniors and Juniorettes 4-H club had no meeting scheduled in May, but they had a fun outing.
Theresa Dendinger, club president, was in the Vermillion High School play Romeo and Juliet, so some of the members went to the play on Friday, May 6 and some went on Saturday, May 7. Everyone enjoyed the play. Each family provided two dozen bars/cookies that were then donated to the Drama Club for their fundraising. These bars/cookies were sold at intermission during the play.
On Saturday, May 21 club members met at the Main Street stop light corner in front of R-Pizza and planted flowers and perennials, then covered the ground around the flowers with mulch. This was for the Vermillion Beautiful project.
The next meeting was held Tuesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at the 4-H center. Katie Van Balen and Marley Hanson gave a demonstration. Ellen Hanson presented a judging school. Club members brought finished wood pieces for organizer to finish the project with Marion Kryger.
