Brodersen named to All Big Ten Team

Brodersen named to All Big Ten Team Tim Brodersen, who throws the discus for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, was named to the All Big Ten Team, All Region Team, and Academic All Big Ten Team. Tim won the Big Ten Conference with a throw of 187' and was an automatic qualifier to nationals by placing third at Midwest Regionals at the University of Oklahoma with a throw of 179'1". The NCAA Division I Nationals were held in Sacramento, CA, and he placed 16th there.

Tim's personal best for the season, 190'8" at the University of Northern Iowa, and 193'8" at Iowa City, qualified him for the U.S. Nationals to be held in Los Angeles in June.

Other achievements for the season: winning the Cal State, Northridge Relays, Florida Relays, and the Musco Relays throwing 186'. He was also third at the Drake Relays and currently third on the Hawkeye all-time list.

Tim is the son of Brad and Karol Brodersen of Vermillion.
