Eye health on July 3 On Call Eye health will be the topic on the July 3 edition of On Call.
�The fourth of July is when physicians see a lot of eye injuries as a result of fireworks,� producer Lindsey Meyers said. �We�ll give advice for preventing eye injuries during this holiday.
�We�ll also find out what causes glaucoma and what can be done to treat this condition. And we�ll tell you what your doctor is looking for when you have an eye exam,� Meyers said.
Meyers and �On Call� Medical Editor Dr. Rick Holm will discuss the topic with Dr. Vance Thompson with the Sioux Valley Clinic-Vance Thompson vision.
�On Call� is a weekly program about health on South Dakota Public Television. The show is broadcast Sundays at 12:30 p.m. The South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service produces the program.
