Get your bobblehead The Sioux Falls Canaries, in conjunction with The University of South Dakota Athletics Department, will host a Pat O'Brien Bobblehead Night on Saturday, June 11, when the Canaries face the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks at the Birdcage in Sioux Falls, at 7:05 p.m. As part of the promotion, $2 from every ticket sold will go to Coyote Athletics.

With Pat O'Brien in attendance, the Canaries will give away 1,000 O'Brien bobbleheads, courtesy of USD.

Tickets for the Canaries/Fargo-Moorhead game will be $6.50 for a reserve grandstand seat, $8 for upper executive, and $9 for a lower executive seat.

USD Party Packages are also available. The $20 Party Package includes one lower executive seat, one meal entr�e (jumbo hot dog, bratwurst, or hamburger), potato chips, potato salad, baked beans and one soda. From each Party Package sold, $5 will go to Coyote Athletics.

O'Brien is host of The Insider, which is an entertainment show that debuted as the No. 1 syndicated television program.

A native of Sioux Falls, O'Brien, who earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science in 1970 from USD, has covered major entertainment events, including the Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys, while serving as a substitute anchor and reporter for Entertainment Tonight.

He also served as a sports host for CBS Sports network's coverage of numerous premiere sports events, including the Winter Olympics Games, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the NBA Finals, the NBA All-Star Game, Baseball's All-Star Game, the World Figure Skating Championships, the NCAA Tournament and the Final Four. O'Brien is also an accomplished writer. He has written a regular sports column for the New York Daily News, monthly columns for Inside Sports and Live! magazines and guest columns for TV Guide.
