Group changes its meeting times The time for the regular meetings of the Union County Historical Society has been changed to 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month. The next meeting will be on June 20 at the museum with Suzanna Bruneau presenting a program on her trip to Australia.
Sondra Stickney, president, says summer hours for the Union County Museum will be Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. with volunteers present to assist visitors.
Bill Vermillion from Beresford was guest speaker at the May meeting. He told a packed house about his experiences as a prisoner of war in Germany during World War II.�Bill also read a letter he received from Marjorie Hamlet, an Elk Point legend, while he was imprisoned.
Members and friends of the museum are invited to attend the regular meetings.
