Terisa Remelius named assistant vice president of Student Services The University of South Dakota is proud to announce Dr. Terisa Remelius as the new assistant vice president of Student Services and dean of students.
Remelius is excited to join USD's extraordinary team.
"I am extremely honored to be selected as the assistant vice president for Student Services at The U," she said. "I was impressed by the quality of the directors in the division as well as with the students I met. The warm welcome I received during my interview really made my decision to move to South Dakota an easy one."
Beginning July 1, Remelius will pursue her role in making USD the best place for students to pursue a world class education.
"My immediate goal will be to review the functions of the student services areas in order to celebrate the successes of the division and make improvements that benefit our students," Remelius said.
"Terisa Remelius' previous experience makes her an ideal individual for the position," said Michelle M. Lavallee, vice president of student services and chief marketing officer. "Her most recent experience includes serving as director of operations and judicial affairs for Saint Louis University where she supervised and negotiated all contracts for the Division of Student Development and held leadership responsibilities in the university's divisional assessment and numerous student services boards."
Remelius received her M.A. in higher education administration from the University of Missouri- Columbia and her Ph.D. in higher education administration from Saint Louis University.
