Brad Schaack was the starter and went nine innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on five hits, recording six Ks. The team�s defense was about its usual self committing three errors. Not to worry, though � they accumulated an astonishing 21 hits scoring in every inning except three, four and six.
Leading the offense was Ried Meierkort who went 4 for 6 with a run and 2 RBIs; B.J. Campbell � 3 for 6, 1 run; Eric Chase � 3 for 5 (including a home run), 2 runs, 1 rbi; Kyle Mollet � 2 for 5, 1 run, 1 rbi; Jordan Anderson � 2 for 4, 1 run, 2 RBIs; Ryan Mockler went 2 for 5, 1 run; Zach Weiss � 3 for 5, 1 run, 2 RBIs; Ben Oberle scored a run on 2 for 5 batting.
The teams� season record was 14 wins, 9 losses as they entered the Yankton First Dakota Wood Bat Classic July 1-2.
