Bull-A-Rama will be weekend event The 12th annual Bull-A-Rama will soon be upon us. Two new things have been added making Vermillion�s Bull-A-Rama a weekend long event for the first time. It is also being held two weeks earlier, and will start Friday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. with the first ever unloading of the bulls opened to the public and free. Beverages and food will be sold at the rodeo grounds.
Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Bull Stops Here Promotion at Pump ?N Pak will be held. There will be bulls, bull fighters, clowns, stock contractor, bull riders, horse rides, mutton busting registration, raffles, give-a-ways and renowned western artist Ray Kelly will have his art on display and for sale.
At 7 p.m., the lights go up and the 12th annual Bull-A-Rama starts. This year will feature the ever popular sponsored bull riding previously called the business men�s bull riding; also, 15 youngsters will ride sheep and there will be five youth bull riders.
There will be 20 riders in the main event with the top six riders coming back to ride in the ring of fire. At 9 p.m., there will be a dance held at the rodeo grounds. The Bull-A-Rama weekend will conclude on Sunday with a leisure trail ride along the Missouri River and lunch served afterwards. This starts at 11 a.m. at the rodeo grounds.
