? W.H. Over Museum fund raiser � Aug. 1, 2, 3 and 4, 7 a.m. to noon at the I-29 Exit 26 Rest Area. You are invited to enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast in the great outdoors with visitors traveling through the area. The breakfast is sponsored by the Vermillion Lions Club and all proceeds will be donated to the W.H. Over Museum.
? Annual South Dakota Honors Choir and SD- SCDC Summer Conference � The University of South Dakota will host the annual South Dakota Honors Choir and SD-SCDC Summer conference at the USD Campus, Sunday, July 31 through Friday, Aug. 5 in the Warren M. Lee Center of Fine Arts. The Honor Choir is made up of 150 of the state�s top young vocalists going into grades 11 and 12 this fall.
During the week they will rehearse a variety of selections and will culminate their week of work with a concert on Friday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Vermillion High School Auditorium.
Tickets for the concert cost $8 and will go on sale, on a first come first serve basis, at 6:30 p.m. at the Vermillion High School. ? Eighth Annual Big Friends-Little Friends Bike Ride � The Big Friends-Little Friends program in Clay and Union County is hosting its eighth annual bike ride and second annual 5k and 10k walk/run on Saturday, Aug. 20, starting at 8:30 a.m. in Elk Point. The bike route features routes from 8 to 58 miles, all on blacktop, as well as a great route for the runners and walkers.
Registration forms are available at Albrecht�s, Bill�s in Jefferson, Whimp�s, and many other locations in Elk Point and Vermillion. A variety of options are available for those who participate. Call John Gille at 1-605-356-2571 for more details and to request a registration form. All proceeds support the youth mentoring program and its continued growth.
? 12th Annual Bull-a-Rama begins Friday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. with the unloading of the bulls at Clay County Rodeo Grounds. Admission is free and food and beverages will be for sale by the Jaycees. On Saturday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be Bull Stops Here! at Pump �n Pak. Admission is free. There will be bulls, bull fighters, clowns, bull riders, horse rides, mutton busting registration, raffles, and art displays/sales by western artist Ray Kelly.
At 7 p.m. Aug. 27, the Bull-a-Rama event will be held, followed by a dance at the Clay County Rodeo Grounds. Adult tickets are $10 at the gate or $8 in advance; Senior Citizens tickets are $8; Children�s tickets ages 7-12 are $6; children�s tickets ages 6 and under are free. Tickets are available at Hy-Vee Food Store, Pump �n Pak, Jones� Food Center, and the Vermillion Chamber of Commerce & Development Company.
On Sunday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m., a trail ride will be held along the Missouri River followed by a lunch. Free will donations will be collected.
? USD Career Development Center Part Time Job Fair � Sept. 8, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Coyote Student Center Rushmore Rooms. Free to both employers and students. Pre-registration is required. Contact the Career Development Center at 677-5307 to register.
