The DearReader.com Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book will run five days (Monday- Friday), each new book starting on Monday, with some of the genre offering selections every other week. July is a busy month at the Vermillion Public Library. Join us to celebrate the �Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds� Summer Reading Program. Celebrate the release of J.K. Rowling�s sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. There will be a special gathering in honor of Harry�s birthday at the Harry Potter Party, on Monday, July 25, starting at 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room. The activities include making your own wand, creating potions, and much more!

Show your creativity on Tuesday, July 12 by making craft projects and participating in art activities. Wednesday is movie day with a children�s film to be shown from 1 to 3 p.m. and young adult films scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. All are invited for the Reading Round Table on Thursdays, from 1 to 5 p.m. Share what you have been reading and earn and incentive prize every week.

The Friends of the Vermillion Public Library will be holding their annual used book sale July 28-30. The sale will be held in the Community Room from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Support your library and stop by for some great deals and special treasures.

Do you have an e-mail address? The Vermillion Public Library is encouraging patrons to share their e-mail addresses to enable the library staff better communication with you. Current information, activities, and overdue announcements could then be sent directly to our patrons. Stop by or call the library to sign up for this service at 677-7060.
