New aldermen will take office The Vermillion City Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 in the Al Neuharth Media Center.
The oath of office will be given to three new aldermen who will join the council that evening: Nathan Adams, Roger Jeck and Jere Chapman. Incumbent Kevin Annis, who was unopposed in the recent city election, also will be sworn in for another term.
The council will hold a public hearing dealing with the progress for the wastewater treatment plant improvements, and will take action on phase III funding from Drinking Water State Revolving Funds for water treatment plant improvements.
