Vermillion Public Library hosting used book sale during Crazy Daze The fun starts early at the Vermillion Public Library Used Book Sale July 28-30.
Hardcover and paperback books, magazines and other materials retired from the librarys collection and donated to the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library are specially priced for the sale. Items sell for three-for-a-$1, 50 or 75 cents each and customers can fill a grocery bag or copier paper box for $5 with items of their choice.
This summers used book sale is one of Vermillions Crazy Daze events. The sale runs Thursday, July 28 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Because our used book sale is so popular, we open at 7 a.m. Thursday. We want to be open before and after work and for people involved in other Crazy Daze activities. The sale continues Friday and Saturday so we can bring more items out, said Steve Waller, a Friends member.
We have received lots of donations in the areas of photography, personal finance and computers recently that will be included in this sale, according to Librarian Jane Larson.
The used book sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library to support programs like the Summer Reading Program, ESA Giving Tree, Literary Luncheon and special equipment purchases.
For more information, call the library at 677-7060 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteers are needed to help run the sale and to set up Wednesday evening before the sale and to break down the sale after 3 p.m. Saturday.
