Will wed Darcy Jo Kovarna and Gregory Arthur Sammelson of Vermillion announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Larry and Norma Kovarna of Hinton, IA and Irene Sammelson and the late Arthur Sammelson of Vermillion.
Kovarna is a kindergarten teacher for the Vermillion School District. Sammelson is a self-employed excavating contractor in the Vermillion area.
The couple is planning an Oct. 1 wedding.
