CASA seeks volunteers The Sioux Falls Area Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program is seeking volunteers from the southeast corner of South Dakota to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children involved in court.
Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and capable of committing approximately 8 to 10 hours per month to serving abused and neglected children.
The CASA Program is an area non-profit organization that matches volunteers to children involved in abuse or neglect cases in the court systems in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties. Volunteers advocate for the children to help them achieve safe and permanent homes quickly.
Many children with open abuse and neglect cases are residing in foster homes in Yankton, Clay, Union and Turner counties of South Dakota. Volunteers are being sought from these areas to advocate for these children.
