Cornstock 2005 set for Aug. 6 Once again the setting for Cornstock 2005 will be the Wakonda City Park. Events kick off at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at midnight with a dance on the tennis court.
Funds raised will be applied toward the purchase of new playground equipment at the city park.
Following is a schedule of events for Cornstock:

? Noon to 4 p.m. � Show and Shine Car Show. Trophy and dash plaque presented to People�s Choice Award winner. Contact Charlie Logue 267-2579.
? Noon to midnight � Craft and food vendor booths will open. Contact Julie Nelsen 267-2515.
? Noon to midnight � Beer tent opens.
? Noon � Co-ed volleyball tourney begins. Contact Casey Pollman 267-3030.
? 1 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. � Swimming pool open.
? 1 p.m. to ??? � Two-person horseshoe tournament.
? 1 to 3 p.m. � Children�s games. Contact Tricia White 267-2668.
? 1 to 4 p.m. � Kiddie train rides.
? 1 to 3 p.m. � Face painting and tattoos for the kids.
? 3 p.m. � Crowning of Little Miss Cornstock. Candidates are Jamie Johnson, Haleigh Melstad, Madison Mohr, and Nicole Ross.
? 6 p.m. to midnight � Dance on the tennis court featuring Borderline, Crystal Bleu and Midnight Special.
? Dusk � Fireworks display.
Cornstock t-shirts will be sold all day. No coolers will be allowed in the park that day.
