Local professional earns state recognition Bernadette Reasoner, employed by the USD Children�s Center in Vermillion, had recently received honorary recognition from the South Dakota Pathways to Professional Development Career Lattice. Reasoner has a Certificate of Education from England and specialized training in the early child care field. She has worked in the child care and early education field for 14 years.
The Pathways project commends Reasoner for her commitment to this field, including:
? Maintaining membership in professional organizations including the SD Coalition for Children.
? Promoting developmentally appropriate environments and learning experiences for children.
? Continually seeking education through professional training and conferences.
? Striving to achieve a quality child care program that is responsive to the needs of children and families.
The South Dakota Pathways project is designed to recognize individuals who dedicate their professional career to promoting high quality care and early education for children. The Career Lattice recognizes Reasoner for her educational achievements and volunteer contributions to the early childhood and school-age care profession. Reasoner�s participation in the South Dakota Pathways project is voluntary. She will be required to meet additional training and professional development requirements in order to remain active in the South Dakota Pathways Career Lattice.
