Signs, vehicles not allowed in right-of-way The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) reminds the public that signs, vehicles and other material are not allowed in the state right-of-way along highway ditches.

�We�ve gotten reports of people putting everything from vehicles for sale to seed corn signs in the state�s right-of-way. It�s a potential hazard,� says Laura Schoen-Carbonneau, communications manager for the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

Schoen-Carbonneau asks anyone who has something in the right-of-way to relocate it.
