Bank matches hurricane aid

In a ceremony at the Sioux Falls Red Cross offices at 808 West Avenue North, First PREMIER Bankcard President and CEO Miles Beacom presented Red Cross CEO Jeff Stingley with a check for $273,694. This installment brings the total dollars received from the financial organization to over $630,000.

South Dakota-based First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard have pledged to match donations up to $1 million through the South Dakota American Red Cross. The combination of donations and matching money received to date exceeds $1.2 million generated in hurricane relief.

The generosity of the PREMIER financial organizations is the largest philanthropic gesture ever experienced by the South Dakota Red Cross. Donations for this match are continuing. Members of the public can contact a First PREMIER office in Sioux Falls, Watertown, Castlewood, Kranzburg, Lake Norden, Wakonda or any South Dakota Red Cross office to make a contribution and it will be applied towards the matching agreement.
