Blood drive set for Sunday A blood drive to benefit Community Blood Bank will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion.
To donate blood, you must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. You must be in general good health. You can't have a cold, fever, flu or sore throat.
You cannot have had a tattoo or body piercing in the last 12 months. Make sure you eat a good breakfast or lunch, and drink plenty of water.
People are able to safely donate blood every 56 days. Call 877-877-3070 for more information.
