Grave Walk Tour scheduled Sept. 18

An afternoon of adventure awaits those who participate in the second narrated Grave Walk Tour on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the cemetery. Actors donned in period costumes will reenact the lives of historical figures at their grave sites. More notable characters being portrayed are the notorious Jack McCall, D.B. Gurney, founder of the seed company and WNAX, and historian writer George Kingsbury.

Tickets are $10 with children through middle school age being admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased by calling Jozette at 260-1750 or Sheryl at 665-7817. They will also be available the day of the walk at the West 25th Street entrance.

Refreshments will be served following the tour. The rain date is Saturday, Sept. 24. Listen to Yankton's radio station KYNT (AM 1450) for a determination.

The Arikara and Laura Ingalls Wilder Quester chapters will be hosting this event. Proceeds will be given to the GAR Hall in Yankton for window coverings.
