Learn about Medicare, prescription costs Sept. 7 A representative from the Social Security office in Yankton and from SHINE will be available at Choice Pharmacy in Vermillion from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 7 to help determine if people are eligible for extra help with their Medicare prescription costs because of their income and resources.
This help can be to the extent of total prescription coverage with no cost to the individual whatsoever.
To apply for help with Medicare prescription drug plan costs, individuals should prepare these documents in advance:
? Statements that show account balances at banks, credit unions or other financial institutions.
? Investment statements.
? Life insurance policy statements.
? Stock certificates.
? Tax returns.
? Pension award letters.
? Payroll slips.
