When asked on what her goals would be for the 2005-06 school year, Peterson responded, "I am going to advocate for an Honor Student lounge. Students work hard to maintain their grades, and when they are involved with extra-curricular activities, the year can get very stressful. They deserve to have a place to put up their feet and have a quiet area to study."
Peterson also thinks that students should take a larger role in what happens outside the walls of the school.
"I personally think that it would be nice to do something for the elderly at the nursing home. They really enjoy us visiting them. Students need to take a more active role in their community."
