Pulpit Reflections

There are no guarantees that everything will be great for us in this world. Imagine if your pastor could get up on Sunday morning and promise that you will have a perfect life. Do you think your church might be filled every week if your pastor could do that? But God doesn't work like that and last I heard there was still more room in the congregations in our community for people to attend worship!

But isn't that why we do need to attend worship each week? I know that's at least one of the reasons to come. We need to hear good news in a world that is unpredictable and often times quite hostile. We need to be reassured that God still loves us and has a plan for us even when that love and that plan seem to be hidden from our view.

Life, at best, is predictable. But God's love is a constant. No matter what twists and turns may occur on your path through life, always rely on the love of God to carry you through. Come hear about that love every week in your local congregation!
