Tanager softball team improves record with victories over Lennox

Jennie Bye was the winning pitcher, giving up five runs while registering 13 Ks, but issuing eight walks. She surrendered only one hit in the seven-inning game.

Jenny also contributed to the cause, scoring twice, courtesy of a walk and an error. Krista Froke scored two runs, including the winner, when Brianna Brinkman was safe on an error being credited with the RBI in extra innings; Brittany Bye went 2 for 3, 1 run; and Mary Ann Bierle was 1 for 3, 1 run.

The second game was a win for Brinkman who collected five Ks, two walks, and three hit batters, but only one hit in the five-inning game against the Lennox frosh.

Offensively, Brianna went 2 for 2 scoring 3 runs; Jenny Bye was 1 for 1, 2 runs; Froke scored twice; Alicia Brown went 2 for 2, 1 run; Chelsea Houska, Donica Crichton and Bierle each scored once.
